Clash of Clans is a strategy video game created by Supercell (a video game company based in Finland). It is available for both Android and iOS platforms. The game is basically about building up a base in the virtual world and staunchly defending it from other players. And, of course, you can also attack other players.
Clash of Clans does not feel too much like a freemium. You may feel like you stole it considering it looks and feels so much better than you would come to expect from freemium games. It is better. By accruing gold and elixir, you advance through the game. At times, though, the game gets so challenging that you could spend a whole day filling up your collections of gold and elixir.
But it is worth it. The more you advance, the more of this gold and/or elixir you will need.
As you go through the game you will build your very own village and fill it up with whatever you might need—for yourself and your tribe. This tribe, by the way (or clan, for that matter), you will lead into battle against other tribes (online players). What is it you need to build, you ask? Well, there are a bunch of things; a town hall, an army camp, a gold mine and an elixir collector.
The more you build and expand, the more building types you unlock. Eventually, when you make it far enough into the game, you will be able to take over the Clan Castle and hence be in a position to form allegiances with other clans (online players), to upgrade your barracks and to create different types of unit.
What’s all the fuss then?
Well, it’s a game you can play on your phone and it’s free. That is the first thing to bear in mind. There really isn’t another way to put it. It is fun and addictive. As a player, you enter your own virtual world and as soon as you do, you just want to see what it’s about; what you can create (and destroy) and what each level holds. You may have started playing it out of boredom, and then continued out of curiosity, but a few minutes in, you want to keep playing simply because it captures your interest.
Besides, you get to build an army!
Clash of the Clans truly is different when compared to other freemium games. Not only does it let you experience amazing online multiplayer experience, it also provides a good platform for some pretty good interaction. Anyone who loves this type of game would enjoy Clash of Clans fully—no doubt about it. Its action and its strategy are the true selling points.
